Violinist Rakhi Singh was a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) Rising Stars scheme in 2009-10, as a member of the Barbirolli Quartet. In the intervening years she has established herself as an acclaimed violinist and director at the cutting edge of contemporary practice, having co-founded Manchester Collective, released a solo record and toured with the likes of Phillip Glass, Abel Selaocoe and Hiromi.
Here she returns with friends for this celebratory ECHO 30th anniversary series with a colourful contemporary programme, featuring Edmund Finnis's iridescent writing for strings, Dobrinka Tabakova's folk-infused Ignite, and Ravel's dazzling duo for violin and cello.
